Title:
Durham College Project Movie Trailer
Client:
Video Production Class - Durham College Multimedia Program
Brief:
We were originally asked to shoot a small documentary about Durham
College and "make it interesting". A group of 4 friends,
as well as myself, decided to take a slightly different approach
and went about creating a spoof on the then recently released Blair
Witch Project.
After a spending two nights at the college shooting footage, we
realized this task proved to be more daunting than expected with
our given timeline. Not wanting to abandon the idea and the time
spent shooting footage, we settled on creating movie trailers instead.
Using the tools, plug-ins and editing features of Adobe® Premiere®,
and production techniques discussed in class, we assembled the footage
into trailers about 2 minutes in length. While we all used the same
footage, each of us was able to deliver our own distinct creation.
Our videos were used the following semester to show the next class
what could be accomplished by taking this particular class.
