Intro to 3D Studio Max® - Durham College Continuous Learning
Brief:
For our final project of the class, we were asked to create pretty
much anything we wanted, using all of the tools we learned about
throughout the semester. Seeing as it was close to Christmas, I
decided to create a winter-like scene.
With some help form a tutorial and a third party plug-in I found
on the Internet, I assembled the scene using particle systems, planes,
displacement maps, lights and a camera. I took the tree texture that came with the Forest Lite plug-in into Photoshop® to give them a snow covered look.
There isn't much of story to the animation, but I was impressed
how well it turned out visually, especially the reflection in the
water.
